Terms.

By using Valmont, the website at valmont.app, and the mobile app (together, the Service), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Valmont is operated by Collecta Technologies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17022135), with its registered office at 105 Piccadilly, London, W1J 7NJ. See our Privacy Policy for data-protection details.

Valmont is for adults. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service opens first in Mayfair, London; availability elsewhere is subject to expansion.

While the nominations programme is active, each eligible Valmont account may make up to five successful nominations. Each successful nomination gives one eligible recipient three calendar months of Valmont Pro without charge.

• Access begins only when Valmont confirms redemption. It is non-renewing, cannot be stacked with existing Pro access, has no cash value, and does not alter a paid subscription.
• Each opaque link is intended for one person, may be redeemed by one account, and closes 30 days after issue. An expired unused link may be reissued with a new 30-day period.
• Self-redemption, sale, public posting, automated collection, and attempts to evade the one-account rule are prohibited.
• If the intended recipient already has active Valmont Pro, no duplicate grant is made and the nominator's successful-grant allowance is not consumed.
• We may pause issue or redemption, refuse or reverse an unconfirmed claim, or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, provider failure, or breach of these terms. We never revoke a confirmed grant merely because a response is delayed.

For a closed link, a stuck grant, or a status that needs attention, contact hello@valmont.app. Send the status and approximate time only; never send a full nomination URL or token.

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, your subscription, or your nomination allowance.
• You may delete your account at any time. Retention after deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

Valmont offers auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock membership features. The available plans, their length, and their price are shown in the app before you purchase, and payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.

• A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Where a plan includes a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription that covers the same content.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

Some Pro access is granted free by nomination. It is not an App Store purchase, does not auto-renew, and does not cancel, extend, or replace an existing paid subscription.

You may not:

• Use the Service to break the law, including any applicable alcohol-licensing, data-protection, or intellectual-property law in your jurisdiction.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or exploit the Service or any API beyond its documented use.
• Submit false, misleading, or stolen identity details, or impersonate another person.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or deceive other users or restaurants.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited marketing or to build competing products.
• Sell, publicly post, scrape, or repeatedly redeem nomination links, or use another account to nominate yourself.

The Service, including the Valmont wordmark, "The Nod", the site, the mobile app, the source code, the copy, and all other materials, is owned by Valmont or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service as intended. No other rights are granted, express or implied.

When you submit creative content such as photographs of wine lists or bottles, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it only as needed to operate and improve the Service. We need your separate permission before using identifiable user content in promotion. You retain ownership and confirm that you have the right to submit it.

A private nomination label is not promotional content. We process it only to show your own status list and for necessary security or support. It is not placed in the shared link and is not licensed for advertising or promotion.

The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valmont makes no warranties, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the quality of any wine you may order as a result of using the Service. Taste is yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by English law, Valmont will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will not exceed one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 for statutory rights that cannot be waived.

We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including breach of these terms. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (Intellectual property, Content you submit, Disclaimer, Limitation of liability, Governing law, and Contact) will survive termination.

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will notify account holders in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the new version. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you an alternative right you cannot waive.

If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

These terms and the Privacy Policy together form the entire agreement between you and Valmont in relation to the Service and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject.
